Daal bhat power ๐Ÿ˜‹

Tastiest daal you have ever tried!๐Ÿ˜‹๐Ÿ‘ฉ๐Ÿป‍๐Ÿณ

My proud Bengali self has upgraded her daal cooking skills and here's the recipe lest I forget it myself in times of need!

1. Soak masoor daal ( the orangish lentils) and toor- daal ( arhar daal- the light yellowish lentils) for more than 3 hours atleast.

2. Heat mustard oil in your kadai

3. Add to the oil jeera, hing, dried red chilli ( sukhno lonka ๐Ÿ˜ˆ), salt, sugar, chopped green chilli optional, haldi powder, jeera(cumin) powder, dhaniya (coriander) powder, red chilli powder and a pinch of chilli powder. Also add chopped onions, chopped tomatoes, and chopped garlic. Fry well.

4. Add the soaked mixture of daal to the kadai

5. Add water till the daal is soaked in it, and mix well.

6. Add a spoonful of ghee

7. Keep the kadai on low heat and cover it with the lid for a while, and then remove the lid and keep repeating the process, till all the daal has cooked well.

8. Add dried coriander leaves and a bit of dried kasturi methi.

9. Let it cook on low heat for few more minutes.

10. Ready to serve the yummiest daal ever! ๐Ÿ˜‹
